Team
Our founding venture partners
David Hong
David works at the intersection of corporate strategy, venture capital, operations and post-investment management.
He is a co-founder and managing partner of KCL, Penn, and Wharton Taipei Angel networks. David is also a startup judge at Innovex and sits on the selection committee of the Taoyuan Entrepreneurship and Taiwan Innotech Expo. David was formerly with Kymco Capital, a private equity vehicle for Kymco and Foxlink in the e-mobility space, and as a venture partner at Sunsino Venture Group, a government-backed firm based in Taipei, specializing in investments in fintech, robotics and e-mobility. He also held roles at the intersection of innovation and sales at IBM and UBS and was a special assistant to the CEO of Marketech International Corporation.
Alexander Piskunov
Alexander specializes in investments in emerging markets, institutional fundraising and portfolio development across the USA, Europe and Southeast Asia.
He is a mentor and adviser at acceleration programs including the Founder Institute and Techstars and a guest lecturer at the University of Cambridge and LSE. Alexander is also a member of the Task Force on Applications of AI in Pakistan and a Strategic Advisor to the Technology Innovation Agency of South Africa.
Previously, Alexander was a partner at Ruvento Ventures, a global venture capital fund with a focus on early-stage deep-tech. Moreover, he worked in investment banking (pan-European technology M&A), cross-border tech private equity and founded and successfully exited his own exotic wines start-up.
